How big is big? It’s all relative, of course, so as I’ve looked around University Loft’s college furniture manufacturing plant and warehouse facility in Greenfield, Indiana, I’ve wondered how much it would hold if filled with everyday items.
Consider this: If the following were laid side by side and end to end (but only one layer high), our student furniture facility could hold approximately:
- 4,800 Priuses
- 830,000 iPads
- 6.5 million baseballs
- 43,000 college students
Pretty impressive when you look at it that way, don’t you think?
By almost any measure, ULoft’s college furniture manufacturing plant and warehouse — part of our 508,000 square foot corporate headquarters facility in Greenfield – is BIG! Indeed, it’s big enough to handle the student housing furniture needs for our more than 1,000 college and university customers, no matter how large the orders they place.
Of course, the most important resources inside University Loft’s multiple locations are our skilled college furniture experts, including our manufacturing craftspersons. They take pride in building and representing ULoft college dorm room solutions in a variety of solid wood styles and finishes.
Oh yeah, one more statistic: University Loft’s Greenfield manufacturing plant and warehouse is most definitely bigger than the proverbial breadbox (that classic comparative measure from the old What’s My Line? game show). In fact, it’s bigger than roughly 800,000 breadboxes, even without stacking them more than one layer high!
Big? Sure, but come see for yourself. Give us a call to schedule a visit.
