The Princeton Review has released its annual college rankings in the book, The Best 377 Colleges. Among the categories are Best Party Schools, Most Beautiful Campus, Best Campus Food, and Best Athletic Facilities. But the category that we, at University Loft Company, take some pride in, naturally, is the category of Best Dorm Rooms. And the winner is… Washington University in St. Louis. Why are we so excited? It’s simple: Washington University in St. Louis is a University Loft customer, so our student dorm room furniture is part of what makes their dorm rooms the best in America.
The book gives Washington University in St. Louis high marks in a number of areas, with a quality of life rating of 99 out of 100, and a “green” rating of 94. These facts of university living and student residence life are important to University Loft, as well. We take pride in making on-campus living more, well, livable! And our solid wood student furniture is all about being green. We use Environmentally Farmed Timber that’s stronger than red oak!
At Washington University in St. Louis, 99 percent of freshmen students live on-campus. So it’s clearly important to the residence life administrators that their students have a great campus living experience. According to the folks at the Princeton Review, Wash U students give their stamps of approval, too, saying that the “‘dorms are beautiful” and the students are ‘happy’.” The Princeton Review book also reports that “‘Community is probably [Wash U’s] greatest asset.'”
So congratulations, Washington University in St. Louis. At University Loft, we’re proud of the commitment you’ve made to student residence life, and we’re happy to be a part of your on-campus dormitory excellence.
