James Jannetides is more than just the founder and leader of University Loft Company. He is also an original innovator. Because James needed a dorm room loft when he was a student at Southern Illinois University, he did what any truly enterprising young man should do: he built one. But the really cool thing about Jannetides and the company he built is that what began as a solution for a better dorm room and residence life experience is still accomplishing that same goal today. What began as a flash of inspiration in that SIU dorm room in 1984 continues to inspire James Jannetides and University Loft Company today.
