How NOT to Get Into Your College Loft Bed

It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt, right? Well… At University Loft, we work hard to build the best college furniture and create better student housing and on-campus living environments. While a lot of our efforts are aimed at making university student residence living more functional and comfortable, we are also always concerned with student safety in the dorm room and student apartment. So when we see a video like this one, it concerns us that students feel they must go to such lengths just to get into their dorm room bunk beds.

How NOT to Get Into Your College Loft Bed; Be Safer with University Loft Beds

Too bad the University of Georgia (where this video was apparently shot) doesn’t use University Loft student furniture in their residence hall dormitory rooms. If they did, their students wouldn’t have to risk life and limb trying to launch themselves into a top bunk. You see, with University Loft student beds, our college loft bed ends not only add strength and stability, they can also be used as ladders to reach the top bunk. For even easier access, University Loft student beds have strong and secure access ladders available.

And when it comes to superior strength, University Loft’s dorm room loft beds are made from Hevea Brasiliensis, a type of Environmentally Farmed Timber (EFT) that has been shown by the independent Federal Testing Laboratories to be stronger than Northern Red Oak. In fact, University Loft bunk beds are so strong that they have been proven to withstand four tons of pressure! For even more safety, University Loft beds are available with the only patented guard rails that slide with the bunking system.

At University Loft, we put safety first, and we encourage campus housing staff and students to follow our lead.
