Three Reasons University Loft is a Class Act On and Off Campus

Sure, at University Loft, we like to sell superior quality dorm room and residence life furniture to colleges and universities. And we’ve sold a lot of student furniture over the last quarter century or so. But there’s something more important to us than selling by the numbers: we want to sell furniture for college with bigger pictures in mind. Here are three “big picture” ways that University Loft does business:

University Loft is a “Made in America” Furniture Company

Yes, we make our college furniture right here in the good ol’ USA. Our primary student furniture manufacturing plant is in Greenfield, Indiana, smack dab in the American heartland.

University Loft is an Environmentally Responsible Furniture Company

We use Environmentally Farmed Timber (EFT) that grows quickly so it can be harvested and replanted in less time to make better use of the land. But don’t think for a minute that we sacrifice quality. Our EFT that goes into every piece of University Loft’s solid wood modular furniture for college is stronger than Northern Red Oak! (Some furniture manufacturer’s think that oak is the gold standard for strong wood. We know better!)

University Loft donates and helps plant treesUniversity Loft is a Charitable Furniture Company

Yes, we like to sell furniture, but we also give things away. For example, we donate and help plant lots of trees throughout the year, especially on Arbor Day. We also actively support local charities. And we even donate University Loft furniture to worthy causes around the world, like an orphanage in Guatemala.

At University Loft, we do “feel good” things because, well, it feels good! And we think that matters more than adding digits to our “sold” list.

What do you think?
