Shortly after we opened our pool this year, we started noticing little bits of plastic in the water. These tiny, flexible, “floating saucers” looked like soft contact lenses cast adrift. Turns out they were from the pool cover, which is, essentially, a huge round sheet of “bubble wrap” on a reel. Our pool cover lasted only two years. That was a surprise and a disappointment. Clearly, the pool cover manufacturer did NOT maintain the same outstanding commitment to quality that University Loft builds into every piece of student furniture for residence hall dorm rooms and student apartments.
University Loft student furniture is built to last. Here’s how we do it:
Regardless of the way a company builds its products, the foundation of quality lies in the materials used. University Loft uses Hevea Brasiliensis wood, an Environmentally-Farmed Timber that has been proven stronger than the mighty oak!
University Loft could easily rest on its laurels and position as a market leader. But then again, if we did, we wouldn’t be University Loft, would we? That’s why we continue to invest millions of dollars in the latest and greatest furniture construction technologies.
Day-after-day durability requires the best student furniture construction methods. That’s why University Loft uses dovetail joints in our desk and dresser drawers, and mortise-and-tenon joining techniques in our Two-Position chairs (which are designed for use and abuse)!
“Made in America” Craftsmanship
Whether its shaping and assembling solid wood frames or adding stylish and replaceable fabric upholstery, whether its at ULoft’s plant in Greenfield, Indiana or Morristown, Tennessee, University Loft means it when we say our student furniture is crafted with care and “made in America.”
Super-strong solid wood, the best in modern furniture crafting technology, superior construction and skilled craftspersons building “made in America” furniture for colleges and universities. Yeah, I think it’s fair to say that when it comes to the best quality student furniture, University Loft has you pretty well covered.
