University Loft’s Green Story Can Be Found in Every Student Furniture Product Catalog

If you’ve followed this blog for long, you know that University Loft is an American student housing furniture company with a strong commitment to our worldwide environment. Case in point: During a recent visit to the University Loft headquarters, I couldn’t seem to find company founder and CEO James Jannetides. When James finally appeared, it was no surprise to learn that he had been outside a factory entrance with his son. They were planting trees. Yeah, this kind of environmental responsibility starts at the top and is always top-of-mind with Jannetides and ULoft.

I’ve shared other ways University Loft is committed to the environment before: using Environmentally-Farmed Timber called Hevea Brasiliensis, recycling inside the factory, and yes, planting trees in the local community during annual Arbor Day celebrations.

Many University Loft product catalogs are available via PDF or printed on demandBut James also mentioned another important way that University Loft demonstrates its environmental responsibility: printing product catalogs. Wait a minute!, you might say… Isn’t printing a not-so-eco-friendly practice? It certainly can be. But at ULoft, we print our product catalogs in-house, on efficient printing equipment that allows us to print on demand. That way, we use only the resources needed to fill customer requests. No waste. No excess. And no wasted time. When you ask for a catalog or other print publication, we can respond to your specific request right away, without keeping reams of outdated information on storeroom shelves.

Printing on demand is just one more way University Loft walks the talk of environmental responsibility. Among manufacturers of student housing and residence life furnishings, we are one-of-a-kind. At University Loft, being good to our planet is a huge part of who we are, day in and day out.

Want a catalog? Give us a shout. We’ll print what you need, when you need it. Or you can download pdf versions of many of our publications, too. Again, an environmentally-friendly choice!
